Out of Eden is a family-run artisan brand crafting small-batch, handcrafted goods with passion and purpose. We are dedicated to sharing God’s goodness through every product and connection. Based in Jacksonville, FL, we bring warmth and flavor from our kitchen to yours.
Our Story
We’re John and Chanda Goodman, the husband-and-wife team behind Out of Eden. Married for 25 years and driven by a passion for excellence, we believe in creating more than just quality products—we want to enrich lives. Every jam, candle, sauce, and sourdough bite is made with purpose: to share the goodness of God in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
Out of Eden began in a small way—baking and hosting friends and family, feeding not just stomachs, but hearts and spirits too. What started as a table of homemade goodness has grown into a cottage-based business offering artisan creations at local markets across Jacksonville, FL, and now, online.
We’ve called Jacksonville home for the past 15 years. John is originally from Scotland, and Chanda is from Northern Virginia. We spent our first decade of marriage in Scotland, running Subway stores before returning to the U.S. in 2009. Since then, we’ve planted roots, raised our family, and become Floridians in every sense.
